There are many solutions available for eDiscovery. Yesterday, we talked about Clearwell Systems' initiative for updating data without having to move it.
Today, Recommind (news, site) says there's no need to go back and add or change keywords when you can have a concept search engine that knows all the keywords for you.
Recommind with its Mindserver Categorization focuses on enterprise and legacy data and provides some tools that aim to make records management a little easier.
Mindserver Categorization
With its Context Optimized Relevancy Engine (CORE) platform, Recommind can deliver relevant content for each user’s needs, irrespective of keyword or language.
With the newly productized Mindserver Categorization, organizations can reduce storage, data center and eDiscovery costs by automatically categorizing and tagging both legacy data and new data as it is created, making information easier to identify, use, manage and delete. Ultimately, it helps companies determine which data should be kept and which can be deleted in order to lower information risk.
How it Works
Recommind's Mindserver Categorization works by actively crawling data from a variety of sources from document management systems, intranets, web sites to CRM applications. Documents are associated with one or more categories or taxonomies such as topics, geographic locations, document types, industries and language, based on their content. As documents change and new documents are added, MindServer Categorization incrementally categorizes, stores or distributes them according to the rules defined by the administrator.
Addressing the Legacy Data Problem
With the amount of information created by an enterprise growing at an annual rate of 50-100% and unstructured data increasing by 100-200%, companies should care about their legacy data. Cleaning up data stores can no longer be considered optional. It is crucial to cutting costs and risks.
