David Thede, president of Bethesda, Md.-based dtSearch, explained, "An accelerating pace of IT development, evolving standards for enterprise self-governance, and a moving backdrop of multinational government regulations make this an area that is exponentially more complex now than in the past." He said Hopex's synthesis of these elements into one platform provides enterprises a "vital operational framework for navigating this terrain."

dtSearch and Mega hope to win a mega-jackpot on this one.

Selligy’s Salesforce Solution

Selligy announced the launch of Selligy Capture, “a cloud-based service that automatically captures, de-duplicates and stores customer email interactions into Salesforce.com,” a service it claims is so simple no user interface is required.

According to a Selligy’s own survey, most sales teams require customer emails to be saved in Salesforce, but busy salespeople often skip these manual steps.

Selligy Capture and Selligy Mobile, launched last year, “together radically reduce the amount of time required for salespeople to get data into CRM.”

“Lots of companies claim to be the ‘Fitbit for X’, without realizing what a high bar that is. To get there, you don’t need a better user interface, you need to eliminate it,” said Nilay Patel, CEO and co-founder of San Francisco-based Selligy, a statement reflecting the company philosophy that “the best data collection interface is really no interface at all.”
